Add your own choice of glass seed beads, sequins or french knots to the corals and fish. Put in some simple fly stitch seaweed, how much is up to you. Use this pattern to create your own textile art piece. Needleturn is a hand sewing technique, the pieces are not fused to the background, they are sewn on by hand, using a small hemming stitch turning the edges under. (Although, you can of course make it up in your method of choice, the instructions supplied are for that of the needleturn technique). Using basic patchwork for the background and borders, the applique is then applied.
