This delightful piece of slow Stitch Fabric Art is a finished embroidery that has been sewn by hand. It comes mounted on a backing board with bright white cardboard mat board surround. Ready for you to pop into a frame.
This piece uses many techniques for hand sewing including layering of fabrics and some sheer layers. and cutting back to reveal what is underneath.. Use of different fabrics including a sheer overlay have produced a beautiful picture portraying the coming of summer when the flowers and bees and butterflies are busy. The use of hand stitching has helped to tell the story. Slow stitching embroidery touches such as embellishment of the butterflies wings, and addition of lots of French knots on the flowers.
